Duties
Help
  • You will serve as the Deputy Opposition Force (OPFOR) Director, the expert and Staff Officer for the development, training, mentoring, and instructing of the command for Fleet and combat readiness.
  • You will coordinate and verify accuracy of all aspects of training and assessments.
  • You will maintain current knowledge and answer questions on policies, directives, etc. while maintaining open communications with fleet customers.
  • You will identify developmental and training needs of employees as required and directly manage all subordinate personnel development and their training needs.
  • You will advice, counsel, or instruct on work and administrative matters to subordinate employees.
  • You will draft command policies and procedures to ensure the effective, safe, and secure integration of OPFOR in CSG-15 exercises.
  • You will conduct periodic program review and analysis briefings to compare progress with objectives and established milestones.
  • You will Identify shortfalls in current capabilities and work with directorates to provide innovative and cost-effective solutions.
  • You will develop and maintain effective metrics to capture costs, performance, and customer satisfaction indexes.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing, implementing, and administering combat systems (e.g. Surface Warfare (SUW)) tactical training program by establishing evaluative criteria, reviewing developmental and training assessments, and analyzing problems to increase the tactical proficiency of the Surface Force.
