📌 Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team of 6–8 engineers in Niceville, FL. This hybrid role blends technical leadership with individual contribution, supporting multiple programs across their product lines, including weapons, munitions, and navigation systems.
🔧 Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of software engineers working on real-time systems
Contribute directly to development efforts in C++, C#, Python, and Java
Oversee multiple programs simultaneously—no siloed projects
Drive rapid prototyping and fast-paced development cycles
Collaborate across engineering disciplines to ensure product integration
Utilize Microsoft Azure DevOps for CI/CD and project tracking
Delegate effectively while staying hands-on with technical challenges
Support growth initiatives, especially in the expanding munitions sector
🧠 Requirements
15–18 years of experience in software engineering, with leadership roles
Strong in real-time systems, Linux, RTOS, and VxWorks
Experience in defense-related software: weapons, munitions, navigation
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, lean environment
Must be able to work full-time onsite (core hours: M–F, 8am–3pm)
