The Opportunity:
As an expert in defense acquisition and strategic planning, your unique background inspires you to think bigger, push further, and ask questions others don't. We need your extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills to solve some of our customers' most complex problems and find solutions that keep our nation safe.
As an acquisition-focused, strategic planner with some munitions or energetics expertise , you'll bring your strategic and technical expertise to work alongside senior portfolio management leaders on projects that drive acquisition policy and defense procurement decisions as you reduce risk in the development of future energetics materials. You'll use your skills and expertise to assess technical cap abilities , evaluate readiness, and establish doctrine for the DoD's air-launched munitions portfolio.
Work with us to recommend policy -driven solutions, navigate Pentagon processes, participate in senior executive e nga gements, and develop reporting tools to assess energetics cap abilities against an evolving threat landscape.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- 5+ years of experience in the DoD acquisition enterprise
- 3+ years of experience supporting research and development programs
- Experience independently identifying and initiating tasks, projects, or solutions to problems
- Experience in energetics material and technologies
- Experience developing and evaluating acquisition strategies, acquisition program baselines, risk reduction plans, or international cooperation plans
- Experience reviewing the annual defense authorization and appropriations acts for equities and potential application to investment opportunities
- Knowledge of all phases of the planning, programming, and budget ing system
- Knowledge of munitions
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience standing up an office and developing strategic plans
- Experience working through Pentagon processes and taskings
- Experience supporting the preparation of program update briefings
- Experience supporting Government studies and audits
- Defense Acquisition University systems acquisition or defense industry certification
