12 month contract, +/- $55/hr BOE

Position is for an aerospace/defense client. United States citizenship and the ability to obtain & maintain a DoD Secret security clearance is required. Previous aerospace/defense experience is strongly preferred.

Aerospace/defense client is looking for an Engineering Designer to support their Electronics Packaging department. As a member of the Electronics Packaging group, youll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside Mechanical Engineers and Electrical Engineers to make our technologies a reality. This position will serve on-site at client - Launch Vehicles facility in Chandler, AZ.

Responsibilities:
• Support the modeling, drafting, and release of new or existing mechanical parts and assemblies related to launch vehicle avionics using Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter.
• Support the modeling and drafting of electrical printed wiring assemblies (PWAs).
• Communicate project status to Responsible Engineers.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers on the design of various system components.
• Compile digital product definition packages for final release per ASME Y14.41 - Digital Product Definition Data Practices using Siemens NX PMI and Teamcenter.

Basic Qualifications for Engineering Design:
• Minimum 2 years of related experience. Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years of experience.
• Experience with design, drafting, and release of mechanical parts utilizing Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing per ASME Y14.5-2009.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain DoD security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications for Engineering Design:
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Experience with design and drafting using PMI (digital product definitions) in Siemens NX.
• Experience drafting electrical assemblies (PWAs).
• Familiarity with the design of Avionics for use in flight vehicles.
• ASME GDTP Certification Preferred.
