DevOps Engineer (CI Polygraph)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a critical intelligence and analytics program in Annapolis Junction, MD. The team is seeking a skilled engineer to provide direct engineering support to platforms and microservices used to create critical applications for an application development and sustainment program.

Responsibilities of the DevOps Engineer:

• Designed and implemented infrastructure solutions, automated tasks, and delivered managed services using Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Ensured RHEL systems remained secure and compliant through regular patching and hardening procedures.
• Installed, configured, and optimized performance for Kubernetes, Docker, NiFi, and cloud-based metrics collection tools.
• Streamlined CI/CD workflows by managing GitLab pipelines for automated code build, test, and deployment processes.
• Administered and maintained commercial cloud platforms, primarily AWS, to support scalable and resilient environments.
• Fostered effective communication and collaboration across teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and project success.

Qualifications of the DevOps Engineer:

· Active TS/SCI CI Polygraph required

· 9+ Years of experience in Software or Systems Engineering/Administration or roles or a highly related field of work with similar scope and responsibilities.

· Bachelor's degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience and a Master's Degree may be substituted for 6 years of experience

· Strong PaaS experience

· Experience configuring and managing LINUX operating systems.

· Experience investigating and resolving technical issues.

· Active Security+ certification or other 8570 Compliant certifications.

· Experience with Automated infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitLab CI.

· Experience designing and implementing scalable, fault-tolerant solutions using AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, and CloudFormation.

· Experience deploying and managing containerized applications in Kubernetes clusters using Helm, Kustomize, and custom manifests.

Compensation of the DevOps Engineer:

· Total compensation based on experience level - $170,000-$205,000+

· Hybrid work, will start fully remote for (1-4 months)
