Zachary Piper is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer - TS/SCI with CI Poly Clearance in the Raleigh/ RTP, North Carolina area. The Linux Systems Engineer - TS/SCI with CI Poly Clearance will support secure government environments with a focus on Linux administration, virtualization, networking, and storage. The Linux Systems Engineer - TS/SCI with CI Poly Clearance is onsite in Raleigh NC five days a week.
Responsibilities for the Linux Systems Engineer - TS/SCI with CI Poly Clearance include:
· Administer and maintain enterprise Linux systems (preferably RHEL)
· Build, maintain, and administer virtual servers
· Develop and maintain scripts for automation and system management
· Support backend infrastructure for Splunk and other monitoring tools
· Assist in deploying and supporting containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes)
· Provide support for network management systems (NMS)
· Document monitoring and troubleshooting procedures
· Mentor junior engineers and analysts on best practices
Requirements for the Linux Systems Engineer - TS/SCI with CI Poly Clearance include:
· Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly
· Strong background in Linux systems administration
· Experience with virtualization, networking, and storage
· Familiarity with switching, subnets, VLANs, and enterprise networking
· Security+ or other approved DoD 8570 certification
· Experience implementing NIST 800-53 controls
· Ability to work onsite in Herndon, VA or RTP, NC five days a week
· Must be eligible to work in the United States
Compensation for the Linux Systems Engineer - TS/SCI with CI Poly Clearance:
· $125,000-$155,000 annually
· Full comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and sick leave as required by law
