MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Principal Exchange Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA. The position is onsite.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, operations, troubleshooting, and optimizing of Microsoft Exchange server infrastructure.
- Monitor, document, and report on system utilization and capacity
- Resolve escalated email routing, connectivity, permissions, and filtering support issues
- Document processes and procedures and train others
- Monitor backups and perform periodic test restores
- Performs break/fix troubleshooting, server/software updates and feature enhancements to MS Exchange and Exchange servers, as well as general IT Windows infrastructure.
- Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements Exchange related components, software tools and utilities
- Ensures that system improvements and patches are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency
- Generates systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures
- Requires specialized Exchange expertise and general knowledge of related areas
- Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions
- Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
- May lead functional teams or projects
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant Microsoft Exchange experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server technologies, including on-premise
- Deep understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
- Experience with Exchange server upgrades, migrations, and deployments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of email security technologies, such as email content filtering
- CASP+ certification within 6 months of hire
- DoD 8570 Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- One of the following certifications is desired: MCSE - Microsoft Certified System Engineer, MCSE - Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, MCSA - Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, MCITP - Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional, VMware VCP - VMware Certified Professional, CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Administrator
- ITIL Foundations or later certification highly desired
- Experience using a Service Desk ticketing system, such as TrackIT or ServiceNow
- Previous customer service experience strongly desired
Clearance Requirements:
- US Citizenship required and active TS clearance adjudicated within the last 6 years.
- Candidate must be open to Poly if selected by the customer
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
