Job Summary:
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a motivated and experienced Business Relationship Manager (BRM) to act as the primary liaison between business units, mission owners, and IT service providers. The BRM will ensure that technology services and contract deliverables are fully aligned with operational requirements and strategic objectives.
This role is critical for stakeholder engagement, translating business needs into actionable requirements, and monitoring performance to ensure IT services deliver measurable business value and exceptional end user service.
Business Relationship Manager Required Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primary point of contact between USCG mission owners, business units, and IT service providers
* Apply Service Integration and Management (SIAM) principles to lead efforts in service delivery across multiple vendors, ensuring seamless performance and accountability
* Engage with external stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate necessary changes, and maintain alignment with service integration objectives
* Use SIAM processes to identify dependencies and linkages between external services and sustainment services
* Create Customer Satisfaction Surveys to promote a customer-centered approach, gather feedback, highlight issues and remedies, encourage engagement, and monitor performance
* Collaborate closely with Program Managers and Technical Managers to ensure mission objectives are met on time, within scope, and within budget
Business Relationship Manager Required Skills & Experience:
* Active Secret clearance required (Top Secret/SCI may be required)
* 8+ years of professional experience in business relationship management, stakeholder engagement, or IT service management
* 5+ years supporting federal agencies (DHS, DoD, or USCG strongly preferred)
* Proven experience managing or supporting federal infrastructure programs and DoD/U.S. Coast Guard IT systems
* Strong background in complex contract management, including diverse labor categories and performance metrics
* Expertise in IT service management and enterprise frameworks, including ITIL, Defense Enterprise Service Management Framework (DESMF), and Technology Business Management (TBM)
* Familiarity with government contract management processes and requirements
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to drive results in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment
Business Relationship Manager Required Education & Certifications:
* BS/BA in Business Administration, Information Systems, Communications, or related field (Required)
* MA/MS (Preferred)
* CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 certification (Required)
* Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP) or equivalent certification (Required)
