TEKsystems is supporting a client along the Florida Panhandle that is hiring a Software Engineer Manager to join their team.
Job Description
Working as a member of a small team, the software engineer manager will work with their customer counterparts to develop, clarify and document the performance requirements of the system or project. While managing the small team of developers. The SW person will leverage previously developed capabilities – operating systems, telemetry/analysis systems, test equipment – to provide quality, cost-effective systems solutions to our customers.
The SW person will continue with the system/project through the development cycle, transforming requirements into spread bench systems, engineering prototypes, flight test items and ultimately continue with the support of fielded systems. Additionally, the SW person will participate in the modification or upgrade of systems to provide additional capabilities and enable new applications.
Education:
- BS in CS or related discipline
Skills:
- C# (C/C++ also beneficial)
Object oriented programming/design
- MVC web application development with ASP.NET
- Networking Software (TCP, UDP, ICMP, multicast, etc.)
- HTML
- JavaScript
- Ability to work hand-in-hand with customers in real-time
