searching for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer with deep Java and modern UI skills and
a passion for mission-focused innovation.
You’ll join a fast-paced team modernizing how secure environments deliver AI-enabled applications. From refactoring Java services to shipping TypeScript UIs and deploying workloads on Kubernetes, your work will empower analysts, operators, and leadership with intuitive, reliable capabilities. This role is hybrid in Herndon, VA (onsite heavier during ramp-up with WFH flexibility once up to speed).

In This Role, You’ll:
• Design, build, and extend secure, scalable Java services and APIs
• Deliver modern front-ends with React/Angular Vue, TypeScript/JavaScript, CSS, and
JSON- driven UIs
• Investigate, understand, and reverse-engineer existing codebases; map dependencies
and safely refactor
• Work with Postgres and DynamoDB; design schemas, queries, and integrations
• Integrate messaging and event patterns using Kafka / SNS / SQS
• Ship on AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, EKS, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, KMS, DynamoDB, Route 53,
Lambda, CloudWatch/CloudTrail, Glacier)
• Containerize and deploy on Kubernetes; implement CI/CD with Jenkins and GitHub
• Collaborate in a pragmatic DevOps culture, document in Confluence and coordinate via
Slack
• Partner with data/ML teams to productionize AI-adjacent features and integrations

You’ll Succeed Here If You Have:
• 8+ years of professional software development with a strong emphasis on Java
• Hands-on experience building SPAs with React/Angular/Vue and TypeScript/JavaScript,
solid CSS fundamentals
• Proficiency with GitHub workflows, code reviews, and testing best practices
• Experience operating in AWS and Kubernetes environments
• Practical knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (Postgres, DynamoDB)
• Comfort reverse-engineering legacy services and improving reliability, performance, and
security
• Clear documentation and strong communication with technical and mission
stakeholders

Bonus Points If You Have:
• Depth in EKS, networking, and IAM/KMS; Lambda and infrastructure-as-code
experience
• Production experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch and observability practices
• Kafka operations and performance tuning; event-driven design patterns
• Jenkins pipeline authoring, Helm, and automated testing frameworks
• Experience integrating model endpoints or retrieval features into applications
• Background supporting intelligence or national security programs
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
