Lead Information Systems Security Officer

Why This is an Exciting Role:

As an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), you will partner with a large client organization to enhance their analytical capabilities. The key responsibilities of this role include:
  • Conducting research, developing, implementing, testing, and reviewing application security in accordance with DoD/NIST RMF requirements
  • Directing a team of information security professionals regarding security measures, potential threats, and application monitoring
  • Collaborating with client stakeholders to design and develop practical frameworks that support key organizational goals
  • Providing guidance and hands-on support for the customer's critical analytic initiatives and projects, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Partnering with the client to proactively identify challenges and co-create effective, data-driven solutions to their issues.
  • Performing in-depth analysis of historical data and emerging trends to provide the client with actionable insights and recommendations for improving methodologies and tools.
  • Offering direct, hands-on assistance to guide client and contractor personnel in using analytic systems and approaches effectively.
  • Serving as a dedicated point of contact, providing timely and clear responses to customer inquiries to ensure they receive maximum value from their analytic tools and methodologies.

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

Required Education and Years of Experience:
  • 18 years of experience in Information Security roles or a highly related field of work with similar scope and responsibilities.
  • 4 years of experience may be substituted with a Bachelor's Degree; 6 years of experience may be substituted with a Master's Degree; 8 years may be substituted for a PhD.

Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain CI Polygraph
  • Demonstrated expertise with security tools and platforms.
  • Security+ or other IAT II/III level certification that is currently active
  • Experience analytically and effectively troubleshooting and prioritizing needs and requirements
  • Experience conducting assessments of existing IT architecture for compliance with security requirements from applicable security frameworks (such as ICD 503).
  • Experience proactively ensuring the comprehensive cyber readiness of all program aspects, emphasizing a hands-on approach to guaranteeing the cybersecurity integrity of the entire operational environment.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
  • Active CISSP
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical expertise of DOD 8510 and NIST 800-53 Risk Management Framework
  • Proven experience leading cybersecurity initiatives for significant programs, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of large-scale program requirements.
  • Strong background in communication, with a track record of effectively engaging with customer, program leads, leadership teams, and engineers to convey complex cybersecurity concepts and strategies.

Telework/Remote Availability: Hybrid work authorized (minimum 2-3 days onsite)

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$137,000 - $214,000
