Position Description: We are seeking a Project Control Specialist to join our Budget and Finance Team. In this role, you will ensure accurate financial management, contract oversight, and regulatory compliance. You’ll track deliverables, monitor financial transactions, validate client financial data, and maintain transparency across all reporting. Responsibilities:
Budget Preparation & Management:
Develop and update budget proposals with projections, justifications, and cost-benefit analyses.
Draft budget notes and appendices for Advanced Planning Document (APD) updates, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Track and adjust budgets, monitor expenditures, and support mid-year reviews.
Financial Operations:
Manage Accounts Payable (AP): process invoices, reconcile payments, and resolve discrepancies.
Manage Accounts Receivable (AR): generate invoices, monitor balances, and reconcile transactions.
Conduct variance analysis, forecasting, and financial reporting to support decision-making.
Reconcile Financial Management Information System (FMIS) transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Support year-end closing activities, including accruals, audits, and final financial statements.
Required Skills/Education:
3+ years of experience working with financial monitoring systems (FMIS).
Strong knowledge of budgeting, resource planning, and financial reporting.
Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
High School Diploma or equivalent required; higher education in accounting, finance, or business preferred.
Detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative with excellent communication skills.
