Work Requirements
The desired candidate will be results oriented and able to manage requirements to maintain both an on-premise and Cloud data warehouse at Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Solicit, define, and manage requirements and scope for CMS projects.
- Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
- Collect and perform analysis on information from system users to formulate the scope and objectives of the system with moderate supervision.
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders including business owners, developers, and scrum team members.
- Gather & disseminate project information on a regular basis, documenting team agreements, sprint plans, release plans, and retrospectives.
- Create an environment of team spirit and excitement around what is being delivered.
- Proactively resolve conflicts and escalate appropriately as needed.
- Conduct meetings with clients to gather information needed to complete the team's deliveries.
- Delegating tasks on project to scrum team members best positioned to complete them.
- Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress.
- Work closely with the test team to ensure that the requirements are implemented and tested as they are written.
- Create and present presentations to the client as well as other Stakeholders
- Apply practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
- Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the expected standards.
- Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as requirements change.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: BA/BS in a Computer Science or related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
- Required Experience: 8+ years of Business Analyst and/or Product Management experience
- Required Technical Skills: Experience in soliciting and defining business and system requirements
- Security Clearance Level: Requires ability to pass CMS background check and meet the residency requirement for having resided in the US at least (3) three out of the last (5) five years
- Required Skills and Abilities: Good customer service and communication skills, to include presenting to all levels of leadership; Must have good problem-solving skills; Prior experience in a CMS environment with Medicare/Medicaid claims and associated data; Experience with the Agile framework
- Preferred Skills: Bachelor's degree preferred; Experience with databases and data warehouses; Experience with AWS Cloud computing; Ability to query databases using SQL and/or similar querying languages; Experience with Integrated Data Repository (IDR) project
- Location: Remote 100%, Preference to MD/VA/DC location
