Reasonable Accommodation Support Specialist II

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Reasonable Accommodation Support Specialist II: $120K - $130K

Pay commensurate with experience.

Reasonable Accommodation Support Specialist II Responsibilities Include:

• Effective note taking skills - Ensuring notes are accurate, concise and that notes are captured electronically the same day for access by the employee.
• Time management - Ensuring scheduling is handled in a manner that empowers the employee to effectively manage their time. This includes ensuring the calendar is always updated, indicators of timing are conveyed to employee during meetings and/or relational to events, and discussions with employee to manage expectations on a daily/weekly basis.
• Initiative - Logistics need to be driven by the DOS employee, but initiative must be taken by the RASS II
to ensure preparations are completed to allow the employee seamless access to the physical and electronic environment of the work. This includes prioritization of what needs to be made accessible for the meetings such as documents, bios, pictures and collecting information needed prior to meetings, during the meetings and after the meetings and ensuring it is accessible to the employee.
• Ability to support functions of accessibility that may not be the direct provision of the accommodation such as ensuring a room is set-up for seamless use, emailing a schedule for a specific day to the employee so they can access it using their accessible technology, emailing meeting notes etc.
• Travel Logistics - Coordinating travel requirements pre travel advising on aspects of accommodations and ensuring accessibility is coordinated pre, during and post travel.
• Ability to travel internationally for Temporary Duty (TDY) for periods of three or more months with the possibility of a maximum period of up to two years. Contractor must maintain a valid passport with a period greater than 6 months from the date of expiration.
• Assertiveness - The RASS II provides access for employees at a senior level. It is essential that the RASS II is assertive and able to drive the accommodation instead of relying on the DOS employee to always provide

Require Knowledge and Skills:

• Master's degree in a relevant field (Government/International Politics/Foreign Policy/Human Resources/Psychology/Rehabilitation Counseling/Social Work) and/or relevant experience providing reasonable accommodations.
• A Top-Secret security clearance is required and may be upgraded to TS/SCI if necessary.
• Strong initiative and the ability to handle high-level responsibilities.
• Ability work independently and efficiently without close supervision.
• Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours, and/or required to work overtime, on occasion with no to little notice, to support mission requirements.
