SteelGate is seeking a highly skilled and motivated SharePoint Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate must have at least 7 years of SharePoint Server administration experience, with at least three years of specialized experience managing, configuring, and supporting SharePoint On-Premises environments. Candidates must have demonstrated experience as described below.

SharePoint Server Administration:

a) Configure, manage, and maintain SharePoint Server (2016/2019) environments, including:

b) Web applications, site collections, content databases, and service applications.

c) Manage user permissions, Active Directory group integration, and SharePoint security policies.

d) Implement and maintain governance policies, backup and recovery plans, and disaster recovery strategies.

e) Administer and optimize Central Administration, Search Service Application, User Profile Service, and Managed Metadata Services.

f) Support and manage migrations between SharePoint On-Premises and SharePoint Online using tools such as: SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT), ShareGate, or Metalogix.

System Maintenance & Monitoring:

a) Perform routine system health checks, apply patches, Cumulative Updates (CUs), and Service Packs (SPs) to maintain system stability.

b) Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and respond to system alerts or issues affecting SharePoint availability or performance.

c) Collaborate with infrastructure teams to manage Windows Server, IIS, and SQL Server configurations related to SharePoint.

Troubleshooting and Support:

a) Investigate and resolve SharePoint errors, performance bottlenecks, and service disruptions.

b) Provide tier 2/3 support to end users and site owners for SharePoint issues.

c) Maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Deployment & Configuration:

a) Deploy and configure custom or third-party SharePoint solutions, features, and web parts.

b) Support solution lifecycle management in coordination with developers and business units.

c) Assist with migrations or upgrades between SharePoint versions or from older to newer environments.

Requirements:

• Ability to work on-site at the NNSY

• DoD Top Secret SCI security clearance

• Bachelor's degree in an IT- related discipline OR an IAT level II certification (Security+ or better) AND four (4) years of relevant experience

A Microsoft Certified SharePoint Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or Microsoft Windows Server Administrator are desired.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
