Description
SAIC has an immediate opening for an IT Support Analyst supporting the Headquarters Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration, Executive Services Division (AF/A10E). Work will be performed in the Arlington, VA area (Pentagon) and at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC.

SAIC has an immediate opening for an IT Support Analyst supporting the Headquarters Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration, Executive Services Division (AF/A10E). Work will be performed in the Arlington, VA area (Pentagon) and at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC.
Responsibilities include:
- The Contractor shall provide support to the following helpdesk activities:
- Establish, update, and track phone calls, emails, and all helpdesk inquiries to document trouble calls and requests. Document individual trouble calls, requests, and resolution.
- Provide information, updates, and notifications on the status of systems (downtime and resolution) to the end-users.
- Identify and troubleshoot system problems due to design and implementation constraints.
- Identify and implement workarounds to resolve system problems.
- Provide support to ensure the availability of system resources (e.g., workstations, printers, scanners, Video Teleconferencing (VTC), fax machines, phones/secure telephone equipment (STEs), and peripherals).
- Provide operational system administration support services. This includes:
- Integrate and provide support and training such as standard desktop configuration (SDC), CACs, CAC readers, enterprise applications pushes, and any compliance issues.
- Work with outside agencies to troubleshoot server problems (hardware, operating system, and application/services related problems).
- Conduct computer-related in-processing of all new AF/A10 personnel.
- Coordinate work requests with other Government organizations for communication modifications in support of AF/A10 organizational changes.
- Ensure functional communities of interest systems, servers, workstations, peripherals, communications devices, and software are on-line and supported.
- Provide overall support to AF/A10 telephone, telecommunications systems, and AV communications.
- Maintain, monitor, and update AF/A10 telephone number database and organization rosters.
- Analyze, develop, implement, maintain, document, and modify web-based applications.
- Assist AF/A10 by performing the following Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) Custodian Support duties:
- Perform equipment custodian duties for ADPE to include maintaining and updating account paperwork for assigned equipment and managing all additions, deletions, transfers, turn-ins, and Reports of Survey (ROS).
- Coordinate all requests for new equipment.
- Support the maintenance and repair of all AF/A10 equipment to include computers, printers, scanners, laptops, AV equipment, and other IT systems.
- Ensure all accountable equipment is labeled using appropriate stickers (asset tag, classification, etc.). All equipment shall be disposed of IAW AF guidance.
- Support Emission Security (EMSEC). The Contractor shall assist AF/A10 in ensuring classified information is prevented from being compromised.
- Provide the records management oversight necessary to ensure all AF record- keeping requirements, electronic and paper, are IAW AFI 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program; AFI 33-364, Records Disposition--Procedures and Responsibilities; AF Records Information.
Qualifications
Required Educational Background:
- Bachelor's Degree and 10 or more years of related experience or equivalent experience.
Required Experience/Skills:
- Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Proficiency with MS Office products.
- Knowledge of Department of Defense organizations and functions.
