General Summary
The Director of Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership for global programs, with a focus on defense, readiness, and sustainment initiatives. This role oversees large-scale government contracts and international operations, ensuring excellence in program execution, contract compliance, and customer satisfaction. The Director will drive operational efficiency, manage diverse teams, and leverage technology and process improvements to deliver mission-critical results. The role will require frequent/constant on-site presence at OCONUS sites.
Responsibilities
Lead delivery across base operations support contracts, logistics, and sustainment programs in global locations.
Act as the Contractor’s representative ensuring that all task order requirements are met and that customer satisfaction is at its highest.
Oversee a diverse portfolio valued at $50M to $100M annually.
Serve as the primary liaison with U.S. Government stakeholders, including NAVFAC, ensuring contract performance and alignment with mission objectives.
Direct workforce management for large, diverse teams across multiple sites.
Partner with senior leadership to identify new business opportunities, support proposal development, and drive growth in strategic programs.
Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and regulatory standards while fostering a culture of accountability and performance.
Qualifications
Experience with global defense operations and contingency environments.
Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide large teams under challenging conditions.
Skilled in leveraging technology and process optimization to drive mission success.
Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis, with the ability to manage a large budget effectively and ensure cost-efficient delivery of services.
Experience in effectively dealing with international staff, and sensitivity to other cultures.
Experience supporting Department of Navy clients, particularly NAVFAC.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field. PMP is preferred.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance. Current Top-Secret security clearance is preferred.
