Summary:
Yorktown Systems Group is seeking a qualified JOC/Automated Message Handling System Technician (AMHS) to provide support to the Special Operations Command Korea (SOCKOR). The SOCKOR exercises command and control (C2) of all US Special Operations Forces (SOF) deployed to the Korean peninsula and provides the commander of United States Forces Korea (USFK) with scalable operations crisis response capabilities. The Joint Operations Center (JOC) is responsible for maintaining situational awareness of all SOF Operations, Activities, Actions (OAA), readiness reporting, and is fully capable of supporting the commander’s requirement to C2 contingency operations in the event of a crisis. SOCKOR requires a focused capability to conduct complex assessment, research, and analysis of various Human Intelligence (HUMINT), Counterintelligence (CI) and Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) data to identify High Value Individuals, patterns of threat, and network analysis.
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Shall monitor and carry out duties with minimal to no direct government oversight for 24/7/365 coverage that includes initiating emergency procedures, Crisis Action Team notification, updating video displays of the status of any current SOF OAA, and maintaining readiness data and contact information of any SOF unit currently on the Korean peninsula.
• Assists in the management and daily operations of the Joint Operations Center.
• Evaluates, analyzes, and disseminates information of interest to the JOC Manager.
• Records action taken, equipment assigned, and other pertinent information in various databases.
• Controls, coordinates, and manages Audio Video systems in support of operations.
• Controls, coordinates, and manages Video displays and control panels.
• Perform duties as a SOCKOR Foreign Disclosure Representative including preparing foreign disclosure requests for the Foreign Disclosure Officer by validating source documents, classification, country eligibility, and sensitivities for disclosure.
• Serve as the primary handler of all AMHS messages, including the processing, transferring to the appropriate network, developing, and disseminating AMHS messages into and out of the command.
• Live and work in an operational environment when required (e.g., semiannual exercises operating from CP Tango, FOS-I, USAG-Daegu).
• The work of this position is sedentary; however, light physical effort is required.
• The work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate-controlled office.
• This position shall be designated a Mission Essential Contractor (MEC). changes.
Required Qualifications:
• Fluently speak, read, and write English.
• One year experience in a Joint Operations Center at the General Officer or SES Level
• Valid Top Secret//SCI security clearance
• Certification in DoD and USSOCOM Foreign Disclosure regulations, policies, and procedures
• Familiarity with FM hand-held radios, radio communication techniques and Net Control Station duties
• Familiarity with the use of Microsoft and SharePoint products
• Ability to work in a high tempo, high stress environment with minimal oversight
• Valid Korean or International Driver’s License
Clearance: Requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance
Location: Primary place of performance shall be at United States Army Garrison – Humphreys, ROK / Pyeongtaek, South Korea
Travel: Travel may be required in both CONUS and OCONUS locations.
