KBR is seeking an Administrative Specialist I to provide essential administrative, facilities, and safety support at our Orange Park, FL location. This role offers the opportunity to manage a wide variety of responsibilities, including office coordination, vendor support, facilities maintenance, and inventory management of government property. The position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys supporting multiple areas of business operations. By ensuring smooth daily operations, compliance with safety standards, and timely vendor coordination, this role directly contributes to the efficiency and success of the facility. Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support including answering phones, greeting visitors, maintaining vendor files, and processing mail.
  • Manage office supplies, create shipping labels, and coordinate FedEx pickup and delivery.
  • Maintain and reconcile the corporate purchasing card, ensuring timely payment of vendor invoices.
  • Support the Global Asset Manager with inventory tracking and maintaining the EQIP site for Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Government Furnished Property (GFP).
  • Assist the facilities manager with facility operations, office allocations, furniture coordination, and maintenance or repair requests.
  • Coordinate with the landlord and contractors for facility upkeep and systems upgrades.
  • Support the Safety Director with Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) programs and compliance at the Orange Park, FL site.
  • Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Perform moderate lifting and other tasks required to ensure smooth facility operations.

Basic Qualifications
  • Clearance & Citizenship: Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Entry-level position; administrative or office support experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in administrative, facilities, or safety support roles.
  • Familiarity with corporate purchasing card processes and vendor invoice management.
  • Knowledge of inventory systems or experience supporting government property management.
  • Experience supporting Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) programs.


Scheduled Weekly Hours: Part-time, 30-39 hours weekly.

Basic Compensation: $18-20.

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
