Software Engineer III

About the Position:

The Software Engineer III position supports software development across engineering applications, including embedded systems, operating systems, and network software. Candidates will assist in designing tools, analyzing user needs, and developing effective software solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of software for a variety of engineering applications.

• Assist in developing tools and interfaces

• Assist in design, development, and testing of operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software applications

• Assist in setting operational specifications and formulating and analyzing software requirements

• Assist in designing embedded systems software

• Analyze user needs; develop and design software solutions

Qualifications:

• An active DoD Secret Clearance.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• At least 5-7 years of experience in configuration management, including experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), version control systems (e.g., Git), and ITIL framework.

• ITIL Foundation certification or Certified Configuration Manager (CCM) is preferred.

Additional desired experience and skills:

• Strong analytical skills.

• Attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
