Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensures IT systems are designed, implemented, and maintained effectively to support organizational and user needs, acting as a bridge between requirements and technical solutions.
- Works with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze requirements, translating business needs into technical specifications, and creates comprehensive technical documentation including flow diagrams, system models, and user guides.
- Evaluates proposed solutions for technical and financial viability, and coordinates with Developers, Network Engineers, and other IT professionals to implement and smoothly integrate systems.
- Evaluates Test Plans to ensure systems meet requirements, assists with training users and IT staff on new systems, supports troubleshooting, and analyzes/improves processes for efficiency and productivity.
- Ensures systems comply with security policies and regulatory requirements, stays updated with technology trends, recommends new beneficial technologies, and provides direction and mentorship to subordinate staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS in field necessary to assume Systems Analyst duties or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- • 2 + years of Systems Analyst specific experience.
- Experience in systems analysis or a related field, with a proven track record of analyzing, designing, and implementing IT systems.
- Deep understanding of systems analysis methodologies and best practices. Expertise in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
- Knowledge of system development lifecycle (SDLC) models.
- Proficiency in creating technical documentation, including flow diagrams, system models, and specifications.
- Understanding of network infrastructure, databases, and software applications.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience supporting DoD programs and with cloud-based technologies.
- Experience with specific systems analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., UML, BPMN).
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity Frameworks and best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud computing technologies and platforms.
- Experience with agile-informed development methodologies.
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification. Relevant certifications in systems analysis or ITIL (e.g., Certified Systems Analyst (CSA), ITIL Foundation certificate).
- Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
