Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Technical Manager to join an award winning financial services organization. The Senior Technical Manager will work closely with consumer lending and banking leadership and engineers in the development of cutting edge underwriting software solutions. Responsibilities
· Exhibit industry-leading expertise in process intelligence and workflow design, incorporating feedback loops to identify breakdowns, delays, and user behavior patterns that drive ongoing enhancements in decision-making efficiency.
· Design, document, and uphold deployment frameworks and operational procedures aligned with recognized best practices.
· Collaborate with Business Intelligence teams to produce visual representations of the processing ecosystem, including metrics such as performance outcomes, throughput, completion rates, abandonment trends, and other key indicators.
· Broaden the scope of automated decisioning to additional consumer banking functions, including account servicing, collections, and related areas.
· Foster and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners—such as software providers and credit bureaus—to support underwriting, collections, and other core Consumer Banking operations.
· Deliver technical assistance in identifying, logging, monitoring, and resolving day-to-day issues within decisioning platforms, and provide formal recommendations for system improvements and upgrades.
· Partner with Product teams to interpret business requirements and opportunities, translating them into actionable designs that may involve third-party technology integration, process enhancements, or user experience improvements.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics is required; Master's degree is preferred.
· Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in process orchestration and optimization development, including at least four (4) years in domain architecture.
· Minimum of six (6) years in a direct management or leadership role.
Strong preference for candidates with experience in consumer lending and credit decisioning systems.
· Proficiency in relational database systems (e.g., SQL Server), as well as client-server and graphical user interface development tools, is required.
· Extensive knowledge of case management and processing platforms such as OutSystems, Salesforce, or comparable technologies is essential.
· Comprehensive understanding of tools used for process monitoring, performance measurement, and operational analytics is required.
