Job Summary:
The Developer supports the Joint Command Language Program Manager Database Sustainment and Modernization efforts. Responsibilities include leading, managing, and supporting the list of development initiatives IAW PM guidance and customer intent. Must have expertise in DoD system architecture and .Net development. Major responsibilities include system design, application development, system security compliance, security policy compliance, Cyber Security compliance, bug fixes, status reporting, and mentorship for colleagues.

Essential Functions:
- Refines and integrates application development for the JCD
- Support the development of web application through requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation
- Application maintenance and feature enhancement utilizing ASP.NET, MVC, C#, NHibernate, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery (Entity Framework is an appropriate substitution for NHibernate)
- Understands client business and technical requirements and delivers appropriate end-to-end solutions consisting of component-based, services-oriented applications development using various web frameworks and complementary Microsoft technologies
- Develops and delivers e-learning solutions by designing, implementing and managing content
- Serves as interface between users and technical staff; users may include military, government, foreign language instructors, contractors, and other non-technical personnel
- Provides training and customer support for web based products
- Provides guidance and direction regarding DoD Web publishing standards, policies and best practices
- Documents existing systems, processes and policies
- Gathers, imports and populates supporting meta-data for stakeholders
- Works with Project Manager to prioritize tasks and support modernization efforts
- Assist in JCD Help Desk responsibilities as required.
- Assist in JCD Cyber Security and System Accredition efforts as required.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
- 5+ yrs experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proficient with .net web application development, Microsoft C#, XML, JQuery, HTML, Razor, Entity Framework, Team Foundation Services, and stored procedures
- Experience with MS SQL Server and standard SQL development
- Exposure to Visual Studio .NET 2012/2015/2017
- Experience with database access methods (ADO, ODBC, etc.)
- Software development expertise for creating Web-driven application and enterprise integration, relational database design, application architecture, security design and software development methodologies and processes.
- 8140/8570 Certification
- Security clearance: Top Secret preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Desired Certifications: CSDP. CKAD, GSSP, AWS
