Description
Leidos has an opportunity for a DevOps Technical Lead to support the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Outcome-based Delivery and DevSecOps Services (ODOS) IV proposal and program. As part of the team, you will participate in solution development and technical demonstrations to support a winning proposal. As part of the technical leadership team, you will help drive modernization, technical execution, and enterprise-scale cloud solution delivery. This role will focus on architecture and deployment of complex enterprise applications in AWS and lead integration efforts across development, operations, and security disciplines. Provide technical leadership in the design, deployment, and sustainment of large-scale, high-performance enterprise applications in AWS.

Leidos has an opportunity for a DevOps Technical Lead to support the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Outcome-based Delivery and DevSecOps Services (ODOS) IV proposal and program. As part of the team, you will participate in solution development and technical demonstrations to support a winning proposal. As part of the technical leadership team, you will help drive modernization, technical execution, and enterprise-scale cloud solution delivery. This role will focus on architecture and deployment of complex enterprise applications in AWS and lead integration efforts across development, operations, and security disciplines. Provide technical leadership in the design, deployment, and sustainment of large-scale, high-performance enterprise applications in AWS.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Participate in solution development and technical demonstrations to support a winning proposal.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure secure, scalable, and resilient systems using DevSecOps best practices.
- Lead initiatives to implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and monitoring/alerting solutions.
- Drive adoption of automation to minimize technical debt and improve system reliability.
- Conduct analysis, system testing, and performance tuning to ensure scalability and compliance with federal security requirements.
- Mentor technical staff, support design reviews, and guide development teams on solution architecture.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent additional years of experience).
- Minimum of 10 years of IT experience with a focus on development projects, DevSecOps, and technical architecture.
- At least 3 years of experience in architecture and design of enterprise applications in cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Demonstrated expertise with tools/technologies including Java, Jenkins, Kubernetes, GitHub, AWS Services, monitoring/logging, and secrets management.
- Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, UXD/IxD methodologies, and infrastructure maintenance operations.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
- Hands-on experience with modern security tools, code quality analysis, and CI/CD optimization.
- Familiarity with DHS technical environments and compliance frameworks.
