Duties

  • Responsible for the centralized command and control, planning, and execution of all wing deployment operations and the distribution of cargo and passengers.
  • Exercises direct supervision over subordinate personnel.
  • Exercises independent judgment in directing subordinates, to include assigning responsibilities, providing guidance, and establishing standards of performance.
  • Establishes and explains expected goals and assesses overall performance in reaching these objectives.
  • Recommends and participates in the selection of functional supervisors/employees.
  • Reviews training requirements, directs accomplishment of the training, and evaluates results.
  • Advises the Logistics Readiness Squadron Commander on flight related issues.
  • Participates in unit assessments, inspections, installation deployment plans, deployments, disaster preparedness exercises, and Unit Control Center operations required to maintain the highest state of readiness.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Experience in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other responsible work. Experience in substantive and relevant secretarial, clerical, or other responsible work may be qualifying as long as it provided evidence of the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) mentioned below as necessary to perform the duties of the position to be filled. Experience of a general clerical nature (typing, filing, routine procedural processing, maintaining records, or other nonspecialized tasks) is not creditable. Trades or crafts experience appropriate to the position to be filled may be creditable for some positions. Experience, education, or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training which includes identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. 1-year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least next lower grade level.

The Human Resources Officer (HRO) is the final approval for all ETP waivers. If approved, the memorandum will be returned to you and then submitted with your application.
