Duties
This position is located in an Air National Guard Wing, Mission Support Group, Security Forces (SF) Squadron. The primary purpose of this position is to manage deployment and logistical assets to ensure productive and effective utilization of materiel funding and requirements for all Security Forces tasks and responsibilities.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE :
Experience, education or training in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately. Able to apply procedures and directives by reading and interpreting technical material. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing, using presentation and report formats. Demonstrated ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. Learned ability to assess the surrounding environment to recognize immediate risk levels. Must have the education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade for one of the seven organizational program disciplines and its applicable Security Series career.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE :
Must have one year experience at the next lower grade level (GS-07) managing deployment and logistical assets to ensure productive and effective utilization of materiel funding and requirements for all Security Forces tasks and responsibilities. Plans for the use of physical security equipment, ensuring the most efficient and economical combination of manpower and equipment. Ensures personnel are properly trained on various types of security equipment in regard to operation, care, and maintenance. Prepares briefings through the review of resources management reports and inventories to advise leadership of the resource situation as it affects the unit mission. Compiles and reports SF Status of Resources and Training System (SORTS), Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) and Air Expeditionary Forces Reporting Tool (ART) data. Responsible for providing SORTS, ART and DRRS briefings to wing and squadron commanders. Ensures hazardous and sensitive materials or equipment are properly stored, labeled, and proper disposal procedures are followed. Conducts extensive research for information pertaining to complex and unusual supplies parts and transactions. Retrieves and requests data retrievals for use in program reviews and validation of items on order.
Education
If you are using Education to qualify for this position, master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
The duties and responsibilities of your job may significantly impact the environment. You are responsible to maintain awareness of your environmental responsibilities as dictated by legal and regulatory requirements, your organization, and its changing mission.
1. Incumbent may be required to work an uncommon tour of duty to allow full participation in all integrated base defense, security, resource protection, and anti-terrorism program exercises.
2. Must undergo initial and periodic job compatibility assessments.
3. Must pass initial formal law enforcement training school as determined by functional manager(NGB/A7S).
4. Must obtain and maintain current required certifications in self-aid buddy care and first aid.
5. The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
6. The position is designated for drug testing.
7. Incumbent must be qualified in the use of required weapons. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
8. The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle and an appropriate, valid driver's license will be required.
9. May be required to wear special protective clothing such as coats, boots, vests, gas masks, helmets, body armor, hearing protection, etc. May be exposed to high levels of noise such as air craft engines.
10. The incumbent may be required to travel in military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
