JOB TITLE: Electromagnetic Anomalies Research
LOCATION:Bethesda, Maryland
STATUS: Part-Time (about 10 hours a week)
CLEARANCE: Current Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
EDUCATION: Masters' degree or PhD in physics, mathematics, computer science, or relevant engineering fields (i.e., electrical, computer, systems, software) with four plus (4+) years of work experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide technical assistance/review and input of white paper to investigate electromagnetic occurrences in the mesophere and the possible causes of the resulting signatures of disturbances.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Four (4) years of experience or equivalent education with magnetospheric physics, ionospheric physics, and space weather impacts.
• Two (2) years of experience or equivalent education implementing filters, analytics, and ML based algorithms to detect, classify, and track objects while reducing false alarms.
• Two (2) years of experience in the Intelligence Community (IC), including experience with requirements, CONOPS, and transition.
• Two (2) years of experience or equivalent education modeling perturbations for precise orbit determination.
• Four (4) years of experience managing a multi-disciplinary research and development (R&D) or Test and Evaluation (T&E) team.
• Two (2) years of experience sourcing and installation of equipment to measure ionospheric effects on sensor data.
• One (I) year of experience as a Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager.
