The Opportunity

The Sr. Security and Vulnerability Researcher will evaluate vendor systems, identify risks, and provide actionable recommendations to strengthen cyber resilience. In this role, you will conduct investigative analysis using adversary-based techniques, perform threat hunting and compliance scans, and develop tailored security investigations and briefs for the government. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to serve as a trusted technical advisor in vendor engagements, personal accountability, strong work ethic, management skills and a willingness to grow expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) as it applies to security assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integration Planning & Strategy
    • Maintain research and investigation plans and schedule in coordination with government stakeholders.
    • Identify and mitigate integration risks, dependencies, and constraints.


  • Technical Expertise
    • Evaluate vendor data architectures, assess potential system vulnerabilities, and perform investigative analysis using techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTPs) that a user could potentially encounter from an adversary.
    • Analyze and troubleshoot cybersecurity issues and recommend corrective remediation.


  • System & Vendor Coordination
    • Coordinate with multiple vendors to review hardware, software, and network components.
    • Coordinate vendor engagements to discuss their security posture, current protocols, processes, and mitigation efforts.
    • Review and validate vendor documentation and deliverables.


  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) Security and Integrity Assessment
    • Must possess, or be willing to develop, knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as it is embedded within tools, to assess and validate the integrity of AI components.


  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Prepare technical reports with risk assessments and briefs for government leadership.
    • Ensure all technical evidence is fully documented in accordance with program requirements.


  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Participate in technical interchange meetings and working groups.
    • Serve as the primary cybersecurity liaison between the government and industry partners.
