IT Subject Matter Expert (Network)
Agency Support: Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), Department of Commerce – supporting enterprise network operations, Microsoft 365/Exchange management, Active Directory/Entra ID, and VMware infrastructure.
Brief Work Description: Will serve as the lead for network and systems administration, ensuring stability, security, and compliance of BEA’s hybrid infrastructure. This includes supporting migrations to cloud environments, strengthening cybersecurity, and maintaining Microsoft and VMware platforms.
Required
· Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
· 8+ years of network/system administration experience
· Expertise in Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, VMware, and enterprise security monitoring
· Familiarity with NIST, FISMA, and federal compliance standards
Preferred
· CCNP/CCIE, VMware VCP, or Microsoft certifications
· Experience with Azure cloud migrations in federal environments
· Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or IT
