Required Skills & Qualifications
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
- Experience with fabrication and/or assembly of mechanical or electrical systems utilizing production industry standards
- Working in an Engineering Lab Environment or comparable Military experience
- Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings and schematics
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with Flight Simulation equipment
- Experience maintaining computer hardware
- Experience with Mil-Spec connector termination
- Experience with Mil-Spec Fiber Optic termination and splicing
- An Active US Secret Clearance
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Install and maintain Flight Simulation equipment, including computers, monitors, audio systems, visual systems, crew stations, and rack equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve electronic hardware issues with minimal downtime
- Plan, conduct, and document tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Design, fabricate, build, and analyze test systems, materials, components, software, and methodologies
- Coordinate test requirements, and determine test methods and capabilities
- Conduct system test preparations by coordinating system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout, and tear-down
- Troubleshoot and resolve laboratory and test-related problems
- Coordinate test laboratory activities, maintenance, and repairs
- Coach and train others
