MQ Administrator

MQ Administrator - Annapolis Junction, MD

Join a mission-critical defense project supporting Homeland Security. We're seeking an experienced IBM MQ Administrator to manage secure, high-availability messaging systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain MQ systems, queues, and channels
• Administer security protocols and user access
• Troubleshoot incidents and support 24/7 system uptime
• Apply updates, manage backups, and support disaster recovery
• Document configurations and ensure compliance
• Collaborate with IT teams and monitor system capacity

Requirements:

• Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship (no dual citizenship)
• On-site presence required (Mon-Fri) in Annapolis Junction, MD
• Willingness to participate in a rotational on-call schedule
• 12+ years of MQ or related experience
• Experience with WebSphere

Preferred:

• IBM MQ System Admin certification

Compensation:

• $110-130k *based on experience*
• Full medical/dental/vision through Cigna
• 401(k) through ADP
