Senior Cloud Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join a National Defense Contract in Lorton, VA through 100% on site presence . The Senior Cloud Engineer will manage and maintain mission-critical Azure cloud infrastructure, acting as the Enclave Administrator to ensure system health, security, & operational efficiency.

Responsibilities of the Senior Cloud Engineer include:

• Serve as Enclave Administrator (EA), manage, deployment, maintenance, & application responsibilities within the Mission E nclave enviro nment
• Monitor system health and performance, including Azure solution health, application availability, and capacity management
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, handle operational tickets, coordinate with system owners and technical teams for remediation
• Perform regular system maintenance, apply patches, remediate vulnerabilities, and manage end-of-life replacements
• Implement configuration updates, execute approved changes and escalate architectural updates when needed
• Collaborate with customer teams, support planning, technical presentations, and enable mission application administration

Qualifications of the Senior Cloud Engineer include:

• 8+ years of systems engineering experience with a strong background in cloud infrastructure and operational support
• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• Security+ certification - must be obtained within the first 30 days if not already held
• Azure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevSecOps experience, including tools like Bicep, ARM templates, PowerShell, and CLI
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience in a relevant technical field
• Experience with secure, scalable hybrid cloud architectures and enterprise systems including VDI, databases, and web servers

Compensation for the Senior Cloud Engineer includes:

• Salary Range: $170,000-180,000 **depending on experience**
