Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Ground Systems Integration Engineer to join a cutting-edge government consulting company located in Irvine, CA through a hybrid work environment (2-3 days onsite). The Ground Systems Integration Engineer will lead the deployment and integration of satellite ground systems, working across multiple programs and technologies to support mission-critical operations.

Responsibilities:
- Lead integration efforts for satellite ground systems and embedded platforms
- Develop, test, and deploy software solutions in Python, C++, or Java
- Implement and manage NSA Type 1 encryption algorithms for secure communications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with mission goals
- Utilize Git/GitHub for version control and contribute to open-source initiatives
- Interface with AWS cloud services (Lambda, ECS, EKS, CloudWatch, S3, EC2, RDS)
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in software development and systems integration
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java
- Hands-on experience with real-time embedded systems and hardware/software integration
- Familiarity with NSA Type 1 encryption algorithms such as PEGASUS, CARIBOU, AES-256 variants
- Knowledge of satellite communication protocols (CCSDS, CSP, CFDP, IP)
- Experience with telemetry and command standards (XTCE, MIB)
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and services (AWS)
- Ability to maintain a US government active TS/SCI clearance required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
