Sentar is seeking a Systems Administrator in Chantilly, VA!

Role Description:

Position Overview

As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers. You will support the multi-enclave environment (Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret/SCI) that enables users to collaboratively perform their work using a variety of tools and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating system workstations and servers
  • Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
  • Schedule installations and upgrades in accordance with established IT policies and procedures
  • Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels
  • Ensure workstation/server data integrity by implementing appropriate software and hardware solutions
  • Ensure data/media recoverability through system backups and database archive operations
  • Develop and promote standard operating procedures
  • Conduct routine hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with standards and configurations
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration databases
  • Support analytical tool infrastructure
  • Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities
  • Respond to and resolve critical incidents within designated resolution timelines

Qualifications:

Clearance Level: Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Experience:
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems administration
  • Experience with SAFe Agile framework
  • Strong understanding of multi-enclave environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex systems in government environments

Advanced proficiency with:
    • Complex multi-enclave environments
    • Advanced system security hardening
    • High-availability system configurations
    • Disaster recovery planning and implementation
    • Advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution
    • System automation and orchestration
    • Performance optimization techniques
    • Capacity planning and resource management
    • Security accreditation processes

Additional Technical Experience

Experience with:
    • Cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, SC2S, C2S)
    • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
    • Configuration management tools
    • LDAP/OpenLDAP, ADFS, Keycloak
    • Elasticsearch, Splunk, and other data platforms
    • DevSecOps practices and tools
    • SAFe Agile methodologies

Work Environment
  • Primary location: Chantilly, VA
  • May require occasional travel for Program Increment planning sessions
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a background check and polygraph examination
  • May require flexible scheduling to support critical operations
  • Must be able to respond to critical incidents within designated resolution timelines
