PROGRAM MANAGER

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Program Manager, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Global Security Engineering & Supply Chain contract.

• Serves as the primary management focal point and is responsible for delivering protective technology services worldwide

Maintains a strategic relationship with Department of State (DoS) leadership

• Ability to develop positive working relationships with current Department of State leaders and decision makers

• Develops and cultivates strategic partnerships and relationships with protective technology vendors and original equipment manufacturers

• Demonstrate expert leadership and direction in the application of program management principles, methods, or tools as they relate to the project design, planning, and coordination

• Ensures the timely completion of all critical activities and functions associated with the deployment of protective technology project staff and equipment to DOS facilities worldwide

• Provides strategic guidance, vision, and direction to the project team.

• Ensures program integration across task areas, functional / technical teams and delegates administrative, financial, and coordination duties as necessary

• Ensures use of innovative processes to plan, organize, and control activities, manage risks and monitor performance

• Ensures all task areas meet cost, schedule, quality, and performance requirements

• Perform financial management with profit and loss responsibility for the program with the responsibility to meet or exceed financial targets

• Analyzes significant deviations from plan, takes corrective actions, and forecasts any impact on contract deliverables and schedules

• Drives effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities including additional associated contractors with complementary responsibilities

• Delivery on long-term efforts that will establish precedents and will potentially have an international impact upon worldwide security operations

• Provide oversight, guidance, and coaching to staff and be responsible for the development of project plans, schedules, and spend plans

• Work with staff to develop operational efficiencies through automation, continuous improvement, and keeping pace with current protective technology trends

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your program management expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Program Manager must have:
• Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
• Experience: 15+ years of related experience in the field of developing and delivering protective technologies and services used by the Department of Defense (DoD) and the U.S. Department of State (DoS)

• Experience with management and supervision of a significant number of staff (50-100) of various labor categories and skills in federal projects/programs of similar size and scope

• Knowledge and understanding of the interoperability between specific platforms supporting DoS and DoD protective technologies and services

• Must demonstrate exceptional expertise in program management to ensure that all phases involved in the planning, development, design and implementation of overseas security projects are orchestrated seamlessly; demonstrate skill in managing and directing multiple and unrelated projects; discern and analyze critical scheduling issues and develop alternative options as required for effective security support operations

• Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision. Must demonstrate the ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner

• Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a cohesive team

• Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, and have strong attention to detail. Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills

• Security clearance level: ***insert level, or remove line***
• US citizenship required
