support our government client's activities in the Northern Virginia locations.

• Education: AA/AS Degree, Technical Training, Certification(s) or the equivalent combination.
• Required Experience:
• Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Location: On Customer Site
• US Citizenship Required

support our government client's activities in the Northern Virginia locations.
At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Help Desk Technician supports and
manages the responsibilities of the successful completion of all tasks in assigned projects.
- Provides technical support and troubleshooting to network, desktop, and/or systems hardware and software.
- Screens, refers and diagnoses internal inquiries and work requests as they relate to maintenance of personal computers and related systems.
- Assists with the installation, configuration, and upgrade of computer hardware and software.
- Provides end-user software troubleshooting and support.
- Applies basic diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions.
- Provides troubleshooting and support.
- Assists in the administration of e-mail systems.
- Provides phone and help-desk support for local and off-site users.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
- Shift Schedule
- Participates in special projects as required.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
• Education: AA/AS Degree, Technical Training, Certification(s) or the equivalent combination.
• Required Experience:
- 3+ years of related experience
- Must possess appropriate and current DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification to be considered for employment: CompTIA Security+ CE is the minimum certification
- As part of your function on the program, you will be granted privileged user access. Privileged Users are subject to greater scrutiny as a direct result of the significant responsibilities placed upon them. Please be aware that because of these critical duties, you will be subject to additional IT system monitoring, and supervisory evaluation to ensure continuous adherence to Privileged User processes and procedures. Privileged Users are subject to a zero-tolerance policy for security violations.
