Summary:
The Proximal-Savvy CNO Developer will support a highly specialized cyber operations and research team developing advanced tools and techniques in support of national-level missions. This position is ideal for an early-to-mid career developer with strong foundations in software development, Computer Network Operations (CNO), and Software Defined Radio (SDR) technologies. You'll work on innovative signal-based access and cyber capabilities in a collaborative, mission-focused environment.
Core Tasks:
Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of cybersecurity or CNO-specific development experience. Strong programming experience in C and understanding of low-level software systems. Experience with Software Defined Radio (SDR) tools or development (e.g., GNU Radio, USRP, HackRF, BladeRF). Familiarity with reverse engineering, protocol analysis, or wireless communications.

You'll work on innovative signal-based access and cyber capabilities in a collaborative, mission-focused environment.
Core Tasks:
- Develop and maintain CNO tools and capabilities focused on embedded systems, mobile platforms, and wireless protocols.
- Design software in C and related low-level languages to interface with or manipulate device-level components and radio systems.
- Support the prototyping and development of custom capabilities leveraging Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms.
- Conduct firmware and signal protocol analysis, reverse engineering, and system integration.
- Contribute to collaborative Agile development efforts in classified environments.
- Produce technical documentation, development roadmaps, and assist in capability demonstrations to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline with 5+ years of relevant software development experience.
- OR Master's degree with 3+ years of experience
- OR Doctorate with 1+ year of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to firmware analysis, JTAG/UART interfaces, or embedded debugging tools.
- Familiarity with tools like IDA Pro, Ghidra, Binary Ninja, or Radare2.
- Understanding of RF fundamentals, signal capture and processing.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for analysis and automation.
- Prior work in mission support, SIGINT, or cyber tool development environments.
