Piper Companies is searching for a Data Center Engineer to work for a leader in the technology space and reside in Annapolis Junction, MD. The Data Center Engineer will have a strong foundation in Linux, networking, and virtualization technologies to support mission-critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities of the Data Center Engineer include:
· Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems in enterprise and mission environments.
· Support and maintain virtualization platforms, networking configurations, and storage solutions.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, scalability, and security.
Qualifications for the Data Center Engineer include:
· Must be eligible to hold an active TS/SCI with FSP clearance.
· Strong experience with Linux system administration.
· Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing.
· Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM) and storage systems.
Compensation for the Data Center Engineer includes:
· Total compensation is $180,000 - $190,000 annually
· Comprehensive benefit: Medical, Dental, Vison, 401k, PTO, holidays, sick leave as required by law
· Onsite 5 days a week in Annapolis Junction, MD
