Overview
LMI is seeking a BIM/CAD Specialist. This position will support NASA's HQ Support Services Division (SSD) with facilities and workplace planning-related activities Work to be performed onsite (five days per week) at NASA HQ in Washington, DC.
The BIM/CAD Specialist will provide technical expertise to maintain and update NASA HQ's facility documentation. This role will ensure Revit-based BIM models and CAD drawings are accurate, complete, and usable for cost, schedule, and feasibility planning.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and update Revit BIM models and CAD drawings for NASA HQ.
- Convert 2D drawings into 3D models and integrate building systems.
- Support cost and feasibility studies by producing accurate layouts and system documentation.
- Develop and enforce BIM/CAD standards and maintain an operations manual.
- Render finishes, furniture, and specialty spaces within the BIM model.
- Archive and maintain drawings for disaster recovery and recordkeeping.
- Provide as-built and space reconfiguration drawings to support project estimates.
- Collaborate with Project Manager and Facilities Planner to deliver complete design packages.
- Support construction documentation and drawing development.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of experience with Autodesk Revit and CAD drafting.
- Knowledge of building systems documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience developing as-builts and space layouts.
- Experience supporting cost estimating through BIM take-offs or quantity surveying.
- Familiarity with BOMA square footage calculations.
- Experience with federal facility design and documentation.
- Exposure to BIM 360 or other collaborative BIM platforms.
