Overview
LMI is seeking a skilled Policy Lead to support the United States Postal Service (USPS). The Policy Lead will manage the assessment, adjudication, updating, and reporting on USPS policies that have been identified for update or retirement. The Policy Lead will manage the day-to-day activities of a team of policy analysts with project management, strategic guidance, reporting, and administrative tasks. The Policy Lead will monitor risks, coordinate document progression, scheduling, data review as well as meeting planning and coordination in a virtual environment with USPS stakeholders. Work will include methods for improving the policy management processes. A successful Policy Lead will support the Program Manager in facilitating team activities, shepherding forward excellent products, maintaining deadlines and requirements, and delivering high-quality outputs to the client.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead growth opportunities to expand the portfolio and support the sale of LMI's Lines of Business
- Help Program Manager mature and evolve overall program management capabilities, including quality assurance, time to deliver on growth and schedule adjustments, and task management
- Lead the development and writing of policies and policy-related materials (guidance documents, standard operating procedures, etc.) to direct work processes
- Lead coordination, scheduling, and administrative duties
- Organize and maintain a task management system and cadence for the development and delivery of project deliverables
- Lead and communicate the development of policy deliverables for USPS review
- Help the LMI team deliver excellence, including reaching program milestone achievements and assessing customer feedback
- Build and maintain trusted partner relationships with USPS customer leadership
- Coordinate and lead engagement with USPS stakeholders, including steering committees and working groups, to develop roles, responsibilities, and an implementation plan for execution of work
- Track task progress and ensure compliance with implementation plan and stakeholder expectations
- Ensure consistency across products and recommendations related to policy taxonomy and treatment
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Master's Degree or higher in a policy, management, business, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years consulting experience
- Minimum of 5 years supporting operations for a government agency
- Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills with a "client first" attitude
- Strong organizational skills and an understanding of project management best practices
- Ability to balance competing priorities and exhibit flexibility based on changing client needs
- Experience supporting USPS highly preferred
- 10+ years supporting federal or commercial entities
- S. Postal Service experience preferred
- Human Centered Design (HCD) training and/or experience
- High level of business acumen, ability to develop and implement strategy
