Title: Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) – IRES Contract

The Model Based Systems Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
• Drive culture and adoption of MBSE throughout the organization by promoting the use of MBSE and providing training and support to the team.
• Develop standard work and business operating procedures related to MBSE and system architecture deployment.
• Create formal processes for applying MBSE within the program.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams by working closely with various engineering disciplines and departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated system design and digital environment.
• Integrate Model-Based Systems Engineering principles and requirements into digital environments across the enterprise.
• Develop and manage system architectures, interfaces, and requirements using MBSE tools, including creating models using languages like SysML to represent the system’s structure, behavior, and functional/nonfunctional requirements.
• Communicate complex engineering technical information to team members of various backgrounds and disciplines.
• Help establish and maintain the Technical Baseline for a Command and Control (C2) and Research, Development, and Test (RDT) Operations Center.

Qualifications – Basic Requirements:
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering frameworks (e.g., DoDAF, UAF, TOGAF)
• Strong knowledge of modeling languages (e.g., SysML, UML)
• Experience using model-based SE tools (DOORS, Cameo, Rhapsody, etc.)
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or any STEM-related field

Compensation:
• This position is expected to pay $130,000 - $145,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and any certifications directly related to the position.
