As an Operational Test Pilot with MTSI, you will be responsible for the development and integration of operational hardware and software programs onto Air Reserve Component (ARC) platforms. You will oversee the integration of new systems and operational flight programs and execute A-10 operational test pilot functions in support of Operational / Developmental Test events for the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve Command Test Center (AATC) in Tucson, AZ. This is a part-time position.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Operate AATC A-10 aircraft as required to meet flight schedule events in support of current test efforts.
- Foster prospective technologies and develop relationships with various government and industry entities to enhance ARC platforms in accordance with ARC WEPTAC-derived priorities.
- Investigate/recommend new technologies, oversee a portfolio of test events, and champion emerging programs to ensure the successful coordination and execution of test events.
- Advise government personnel on new developments in assigned programs.
- Interface with government leaders, program offices, and industry vendors to keep abreast of the latest tactical and technical developments.
- Deploy with AATC to operate test aircraft away from home station in support of test events as required.
- Provide expertise in the following areas: tactical subject matter expert; operational and developmental test planning & execution; test plan formulation; CONOPs development.
- Directly support AATC in the development of advanced combat systems from cradle to grave in an independent, high-energy environment, and will operate in multidisciplinary teams of industry, government, and military personnel consisting of engineers, analysts, scientists, pilots, and other aircrew.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 years' operational and/or test experience in USAF fighter/attack aircraft as an operator.
- Strong background in USAF combat aircraft systems, tactical employment, and development of tactics, techniques, and procedures.
- Experience with all phases of aircraft test and development, including change proposal/selection, test plan writing, design of test, test provisioning/scheduling, test execution, data analysis, and reporting.
- Experience in operational/developmental test procedures.
- Strong ability to work in a team environment with demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills.
- Good analytical skills and capable of operating in a multi-tasking environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; a background in special access programs is highly desired.
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
- Must have a can-do attitude and be self-starting, ambitious, and hard-working.
Desired Skills:
- Current/qualified in A-10 aircraft.
- Graduate of US Test Pilot School / USAF Weapons Instructor Course.
- Experience in the design/use of aircraft data bus architecture.
- Experience with flight test of avionics systems, weapons, live weapon fires, and sensor testing.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in a technical discipline.
- Master's degree in a technical discipline is desired.
Clearance Requirements:
- Active Secret security clearance required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and meet eligibility requirements for Special Access Program (SAP).
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
Travel Requirements:
- Travel is expected to be intermittent. Up to 20% travel, depending on program workload, with occasional travel periods to support AATC deployments for more than a week.
