Position Overview:
AltView Analytics, a subcontractor supporting a prime contractor within the Department of Defense (DoD), is seeking a highly proficient Data Solutions Developer to support the development and delivery of data visualization and automation solutions. The position focuses heavily on Power BI development (90%) with some involvement in Power Apps and Power Automate (10%). This is a fully remote position, although candidates within commuting distance to Aberdeen, MD are preferred. Core working hours are 0900 – 1500 ET, with an 8-hour workday required.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop Data Solutions: Design, develop, and deliver data visualizations using Power BI in line with customer requirements.
• Data Modeling: Develop and implement data models that support visualization and reporting needs.
• Power Platform Solutions: Create and deliver solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate for process automation and workflow management.
• Customer Engagement: Directly engage with customers to define project requirements, manage expectations, and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Dashboards and Reporting: Create interactive dashboards and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions based on key performance indicators and customer needs.
• Data Security and Compliance: Ensure that all solutions adhere to data security concepts and comply with DoD standards.
• Stakeholder Communication: Provide formal and informal presentations to stakeholders, communicating project plans, roadmaps, and schedules.
• Power BI Workspace Management: Acquire and manage Power BI Premium Capacity workspaces.
• Support and Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for deployed applications and dashboards.
• Documentation and Training: Develop and share training materials and documentation to support end-users and technical staff.
Required Qualifications:
• Highly Proficient in Power BI: Expertise in developing, delivering, and maintaining data solutions and visualizations using Power BI.
• Data Modeling: Strong ability to design and implement data models.
• Data Visualization: Proven ability to design user-friendly and impactful data visualizations.
• Data Security: Solid understanding of data security principles and practices.
• Power Platform Proficiency: Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate for automating workflows and processes.
• Certifications:
◦ CompTIA Security+ CE: Required within 90 days of hire.
◦ Microsoft Power Platform Certifications: (e.g., PL-100, PL-200, PL-300, PL-400, PL-600) desired upon hire, required within 6 months.
Desired Qualifications:
• DoD/Army Experience: Awareness of Army or DoD HR systems and processes.
• Experience with Army Vantage: Familiarity with this platform is a plus.
• Microsoft Access: General understanding.
• Proficiency with Dataverse: Helpful for managing data within the Power Platform.
• Experience with Microsoft Services Integration: Familiarity with integrating Power Platform solutions with SharePoint, Teams, and Dynamics 365.
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Experience:
• Experience working in a DoD or federal government environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
