For over 70 years, the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) team has supported the Navy's mission to provide affordable and credible strategic defense. We are seeking a Project Engineer with experience in coordinating planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. The Project Engineer plans and formulates the Engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. You will also evaluates and approve design changes, specification and drawing releases, and coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

You will have experience in Configuration Management (CM) processes, procedures, and tools supporting the FBM program implementation of new and existing hardware Configuration documentation requirements. The CM candidate should have a sound understanding of CM life-cycle activities.

The Project Engineer -
• Serve as the ERB/CCB Coordinator of Portfolio and Commonality ERB/CCB to ensure packages are fully vetted by all required stakeholders, agendas are published ahead of the scheduled meetings, and action items are tracked to ensure data products are released in accordance with contractual and program requirements.

• Serve as coordinator of VP Portfolio Control Board

• Oversee and manage the SIRC process to ensure all required stakeholders review and provide an assessment of the cost, schedule and technical impacts to changes in contractually required specifications.

• Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor. Reviews engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and others. Ensures customer requirements are implemented, approvals are captured, and compliant with configuration management policies.

• Provides general coordination and implementation of configuration management requirements, policies, and practices pertaining to configuration identification (i.e. baseline documentation, hardware, and software) in accordance with business and contract requirements.

• Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects, and provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience working on proposals

• Experience with managing all phases of project development and implementation

• Experience leading teams, developing processes and business requirements, and collaborating with internal and external management or customers.

• Experience using PTC Windchill software or other Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) systems and/or tool administration; Livelink, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

• US Citizenship and a Valid Final Top Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Experience in Boards, data configuration management and the Engineering Review Board (ERB)/Configuration Change Board (CCB) board process.

• Able to determine CDM contractual requirements in DoD Contracts.

• Contract and/or subcontract management

• Program planning and start-up activities for Configuration and Data Management

• Livelink / SharePoint or other workgroup collaboration tools

• Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques with the demonstrated ability to apply them to a wide range of sophisticated problems and train others in their application.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
