Savvee Consulting is seeking to hire a Program Manager to support our federal client on-site in Norfolk, VA. Applicants must have extensive experience leading IT projects or programs, capable of leading a team of personnel, and have familiarity with C4 environments. One must already hold a DoD Secret clearance and be a self-starter with excellent customer service skills in order to be successful in this role.
Essential Functions
• Serving as the Government’s POC and providing supervision and guidance for all contractor personnel assigned to this effort.
• Managing a large staff in a program office environment
• Managing the development and fielding of large multi-million-dollar, world-wide IT projects. This will include deploying supporting Shipboard C4 systems including software and hardware.
• Preparing and delivering briefings to upper management and/or upper echelons of military chains of command.
• Explaining and demonstrating how system requirements and C4 systems align with the command's mission.
• Coordinating and directing QA efforts in support of C4 systems
• Preparing plans in accordance with the Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL), describing the technical approach, organizational resources, and management controls employed to meet the cost, performance, and schedule requirements throughout the task order’s execution.
• Working closely with the government client(s) by communicating issues, concerns, or problems
• Providing leadership and controls necessary to meet deliverable requirements.
• Interfacing directly with various government leads for all supported areas and exercising control over all assigned task personnel.
• Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client
• Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support
Required Education & Training
• Master’s Degree in either engineering, math or computer science discipline OR
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science PLUS equivalent work experience in direct support of DOD system engineering including IT systems project management
• Information Technology Information Library (ITIL) Certified
Required Minimum Experience & Skills
• A minimum of 10 years of experience leading IT projects or programs
• Familiarity with the C4 environment, policies, and systems and with the environment, policies, and systems of other Navy/MSC relation organizations/systems
• An active DoD Secret clearance
• Must have the ability to obtain the client’s Public Trust clearance
• A proficiency in utilizing MS Office products
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A highly motivated self-starter
• Must be motivated and have excellent customer service skills
