Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support a long-standing GSS team managing systems for customs, tracking, and compliance. The Sr Business Systems Analyst will play a key role in translating business requirements into technical solutions, supporting Agile development & coordinating across stakeholders to ensure reliable, customer-facing software delivery.

Responsibilities of the Senior Business Systems Analyst include:
- Lead and support analyst/programmers in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of USPS application systems
- Analyze and evaluate complex data processing systems, translating business requirements into detailed system/program specifications
- Provide recommendations and alternatives to project leads for system integration and installation
- Act as a Scrum Master, guiding Agile ceremonies and hybrid project management workflows
- Coordinate technical activities, including estimating, scheduling, planning, and quality assurance
- Communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment
- Translate business requirements into actionable technical user stories
- Maintain documentation and ensure deliverables meet USPS standards for accuracy and quality
Qualifications of the Senior Business Systems Analyst include:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive systems experience, including 3+ years as a systems analyst within the last 5 years
- Proven ability to define system solutions using both quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Experience planning and executing complex project plans (WBS, resource estimates, scheduling, reporting)
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and hybrid project management techniques
- Ability to retain and apply technical system knowledge across varied configurations (database, batch, web-based, API)
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently
- Must be able to obtain USPS Sensitive Clearance
- Must have lived in the U.S. for the past 5 years
- Must not have traveled outside the U.S. for more than 180 days in the last 5 years
Preferred/Optional Skills:
- Experience with VersionOne and ALM
- Technical writing experience
- Exposure to Project Management Office (PMO) environments
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification is a plus
Compensation for the Senior Business Systems Analyst includes:
- Salary Range: $85,000-$92,000 depending on experience
- Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Plan, Holidays, PTO, Education Incentives, and Sick Leave as required by law
