Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Network Security Engineer E4:
Provide technical support for assessing compliance of information systems with DoD RMF standards. Develop Cyber-secure network device configurations, including firewalls, switches, and routers. Travel to alternate work locations, such as Schriever Space Force Base, for deployments. Design security configurations and testing procedures. Collaborate with other departments to explain network security requirements and compliance.
Required Skills for Network Security Engineer E4:
U.S. Citizenship and Secret DoD clearance required. Bachelor of Science Degree with 5+ years of experience or Master of Science Degree with 3+ years of experience in a relevant field. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, or PowerShell. Solid understanding of JUNOS, OSI Model, TCP/IP, VLANs, and UDP Multicast. Experience with multi-vendor switching/routing and firewall configuration (Juniper, Cisco, Palo Alto).
