The NDTE Team Lead will oversee and participate in the routine daily operation of the AIS, including system startup, operation, and shutdown in accordance with AIS Operation Policy. The Team Lead will be expected to supervise the NDTE Mission Team as a cohesive unit to effectively conduct the mission as efficiently, safely, and in a timely manner. Maintains continuity of daily operations along with a team of other technical and logistical support contractors, execution of program objectives as provided by the contract and TACOM CMO program offices, full execution of reporting requirements on system operability, team performance, and operational constraints on a weekly basis, and ensuring all tasks being executed are within the NDTE program guidelines of execution as defined by the Standard Operating Procedure. Supporting the local TACOM CMO representative, the NDTE Team Lead will work closely with local base and CIF representatives to maintain clear communication channels, conduct briefings on mission highlights, and coordinate local logistics of material and body armor to meet mission requirements. Team Lead will be fluent in NDTE Field Engineer and Technician duties and will perform said duties as required to maintain mission integrity.

Essential Job Functions: ((not limited to duties as described - performs related duties as requested)
- Supervise a small team of personnel to conduct non-destructive testing of body armor plates.
- Set up and initialize Armor Inspection System (AIS).
- Operate the AIS system.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose performance issues on the AIS.
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance procedures in accordance with AIS Policy.
- Offload data as needed and in accordance with the AIS Operation Policy.
- Unpacking and packing body armor plates.
- Conduct minor cosmetic repairs to body armor plates using the External Material Defect (EMD) Kit.
- Supervise technicians.
- Organize and manage mobile missions.
- Developing and submitting daily/weekly reports as applicable to the program.
- Ensure the AIS is securely loaded and packaged for transportation at the end of each mission.
Education & Experience: (or equivalent)
- Bachelor's Degree in one of the following: Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related scientific or technical discipline. Four (4) additional years of direct relevant technical experience or relevant military service may be substituted for education.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience performing in a supervisory or team lead position.
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience performing general electrical control and electronic troubleshooting, circuit-level troubleshooting, and system-level control wiring troubleshooting.
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience performing with current Microsoft Windows operating systems, including the use of basic Microsoft Operating Systems commands.
- Ability to read and utilize mechanical drawings and manuals.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel to view database tables
License & Certifications:
NDTE Team Lead shall take and pass:
- The Armor Inspection System (AIS) Manufacturer's exam and
- A basic electronics exam to demonstrate proficiency.
(An exam grade of 75% or higher is required to pass both exams above.)
- Initial and yearly radiation safety training or produce certification of training within the current award year. Proficient in safety practices, i.e. use of personal pocket chambers, thermoluminescence dosimeter (TLD) badges, and pulse x-ray radiation survey instruments.
- Forklift license a plus
