Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, wireless networks, and network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and resolve outages promptly
Perform regular security updates, backups, and disaster recovery tests
Manage user access controls, permissions, and support end-user network issues
Maintain network documentation and system configurations
Collaborate with IT staff and other departments to support business operations and network growth
Implement network security protocols to protect data and infrastructure
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols, and network security best practices
Experience with network hardware such as Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent equipment
Proficient in firewall management and VPN configuration
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, and network monitoring tools
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Scripting or automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) are a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are an advantage
