Job Summary

B&A is looking for an Asset Manager to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. The Asset Manager is responsible for the lifecycle management, accountability, and optimization of organizational assets in alignment with U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) logistics and sustainment requirements. This role oversees provisioning, obsolescence management, technical documentation, and asset identification to ensure operational readiness, compliance, and long-term supportability of complex systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee asset lifecycle activities, including acquisition, utilization, maintenance, and sustainment through Operator, Field/Unit, and Depot levels.
  • Conduct and deliver Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) to determine the most efficient and cost-effective maintenance approaches.
  • Manage long lead-time items and ensure timely procurement to avoid readiness gaps.
  • Lead the development and validation of provisioning documentation, including:
    • Provisioning Parts List (PPL)
    • Provisioning Screening Data
    • Engineering Data for Provisioning (EDFP)
    • Tools and Test Equipment List (TTEL)
    • Common and Bulk Items List (CBIL)
    • Long Lead Time Items List (LLTIL)
  • Deliver and maintain As-Built Configuration Lists to provide accurate records of end-item assemblies and components.
  • Conduct Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) Health Assessments to identify risks to asset availability.
  • Forecast obsolescence timelines based on inventories, repair capabilities, redesigns, and upgrades.
  • Develop mitigation strategies for supply chain and lifecycle sustainment challenges.
  • Manage technical manuals, catalogs, drawings, and repair parts lists to support asset provisioning and sustainment.
  • Ensure compliance with data rights, copyright releases, and U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) data management regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of reports, documentation, and asset tracking data in accordance with contractual CDRL requirements.
  • Implement and manage Item Unique Identification (IUID) marking and registry requirements.
  • Ensure proper tagging, tracking, and registry entry of unit-level assemblies, LRUs, and spares into the DoD IUID system and PIEE GFP module.
  • Maintain verification records, registry compliance, and audit readiness.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in asset management, logistics support, or lifecycle sustainment in a defense or government contracting environment.

Required Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of provisioning, configuration management, and maintenance planning principles.
  • Experience conducting LORA, obsolescence/DMSMS assessments, and asset risk analysis.
  • Proficiency with asset tracking systems, technical documentation standards, and government reporting requirements.
  • Familiarity with DoD standards and systems, including IUID, DFARS, and Marine Corps logistics practices.

Desired Skills:
  • Master's degree in Logistics, Systems Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Logistician (CPL), Certified Asset Manager (CAMA), or DAU Logistics certifications.
  • Experience working with USMC, DoD acquisition programs, or defense industry contractors.
  • Knowledge of MIL-HDBK-502, GEIA-STD-0007, and Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS).

Security Clearance
  • Active Secret clearance.
